Mantle Staked ETH (mETH) is a key component of the Mantle Liquid Staking Protocol (LSP), a decentralized protocol on Ethereum L1 that enables users to pool their ETH and participate in Ethereum's proof-of-stake (PoS) network rewards. The rewards pool contains issuance, priority fees, and maximal extractible value (MEV), which are divided among stakers, the LSP, and the node operator. mETH serves as a proof of ownership token, representing the staker's claim to both the original ETH invested and any accumulated rewards. Mantle LSP, available inside the wider Mantle Ecosystem, combines modern design, thorough risk control, and attractive staking rewards. To further improve use and flexibility, mETH tokens can be used in different apps. Stakeholders can withdraw their initial ETH as well as any rewards obtained throughout the duration by unstaking.
You can view, swap, send and receive mETH tokens directly from your MEW Wallet. To receive your mETH tokens you can send them to your public wallet address. You can then view them in your MEW Wallet by selecting your wallet and selecting the token from the tokens list. You should see the mETH token information page. You can send your mETH tokens in your MEW Wallet by clicking the ‘Send’ button and entering the recipient’s wallet address. To swap your mETH tokens, you can click the ‘Swap’ button and choose which tokens you want to swap to. However, if the ‘Swap’ button is not active you will need to use a DEX to swap your tokens.
