What is Function (FBTC)?

Function is a platform redefining Bitcoin’s role in DeFi by enabling secure, yield-generating use of BTC through its fully backed asset, FBTC. Backed 1:1 by Bitcoin, FBTC lets holders earn yield through lending, staking, and liquidity strategies while preserving Bitcoin’s security and trust. Supported by institutions like Galaxy Digital and Mantle, Function makes Bitcoin a dynamic, composable financial asset across chains.
You can view, swap, send and receive FBTC tokens directly from your MEW Wallet. To receive your FBTC tokens you can send them to your public wallet address. You can then view them in your MEW Wallet by selecting your wallet and selecting the token from the tokens list. You should see the FBTC token information page. You can send your FBTC tokens in your MEW Wallet by clicking the ‘Send’ button and entering the recipient’s wallet address. To swap your FBTC tokens, you can click the ‘Swap’ button and choose which tokens you want to swap to. However, if the ‘Swap’ button is not active you will need to use a DEX to swap your tokens.
